Fennville High Basketball Player Dies After Making a Winning Shot 16-year-old Wes Leonard was the hero of the game when he made the winning shot, leading his team into a 57-55 victory against Bridgman High. The team went into complete jubilation and celebrated in the court, when Leonard suddenly collapsed uncounscious.

He was rushed to the hospital at around 9:15 pm, and was pronounced dead at 10:40 pm. According to the doctors, the cause of death was cardiac arrest due to an enlarged heart.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Fennville High School said that they will still participate in the state tournament, where the supposed game against Lawrence High has been moved to Hope College in Holland, Michigan, to accomodate a larger crowd.

Fennville, MICH- What supposed to be a joyful affair for high school basketball had turned into a tragedy when a Fennville High star player who had made the winning shot for his team, suddenly collapsed on the court, and died shortly afterwards.By glassshards
